MoM + EB + BM - how would it work?

If you have Eldrich Battery and Mind over Matter, and your mana is Zero (eg: from blood magic), what happens when you take a hit to your life? Does some of the damage go to your energy shield? Or (since there is no mana to protect) will it all go to life?

I'm curious as to the point of this, as on the surface, the main effect seems to be just to make your Energy Shield get 70% penetrated.

I think I heard something along the lines of MoM + EB + BM allows your Energy Shield to continue recharging when you're taking Damage over Time?

Interesting that people would find ES getting 70% penetrated as worth letting Recharge continue past DoTs.

I just asked so I knew how it worked - no point theorycrafting if you don't know the mechanics! Personally I was hoping that it *wouldn't* work, but anyway, you take what you're given. ;)

As to why someone might actually want to use this: Normally with Blood magic, using a skill resets the cooldown ES. If you are using blood magic anyway, you can take advantage of ES's natural recharge and still use it as a buffer.

This is also relevant to life-based RF users - normally your ES just burns away. Although I'm not sure why you'd want to use blood magic and RF, but to each their own. Also it would be relevant for people who want to reserve 100% of their mana.
