Hidden Vaal Pathways doesn't work with Vaal Fragments?

I've opened 10 corrupted areas with Vaal Fragments and the Hidden Vaal Pathways prophecy just isn't activating. Does it not work with Vaal Fragments? Does the corrupted area have to be spawned by areas?

Did a total of about 20 corrupted areas with Vaal Fragments, and the Hidden Vaal Pathways prophecy never activated.
Can I get a straight answer whether or not it is even possible with Vaal Fragments? |

" ^This here. Hidden Pathways guarantees one free Vaal zone in the next area you walk into (as long as that area supports Vaal side areas). It'd be real silly if it triggered off Fragments :p |

Aye, I don't see anything "hidden" about a vaal side area opened through a vaal fragment

Yeah... I think you missed the point of this prophecy entirely. Hidden Vaal Pathways is a main-zone trigger, not a side-area trigger. You'll see the prophecy get consumed as soon as you enter the area that can spawn a vaal side area; if you then choose to not enter that vaal side area, congratulations, you wasted the prophecy.
