Today's Merciless Labyrinth is mostly non-annoying

Like the title says. No gold doors, only two rooms between each Aspirant's trial (so 6 rooms total + 3 boss fights), and only one of them is that dumb outside garden one with all the dart traps. (Basically all doors to the next room are in the same place on each map as well, so it's easy to learn the way.)

Also relatively easy adds for Izaro. (Idols, which don't really matter if you fail them, and Gargoyles, which are easy to succeed against.)

The final boss room has no dart or spike traps either.

Definitely a good one to try if you can't stand the lab but really want your Merciless Ascendancy points. :)

What weapon is izato using? 2 handed mace? Dual wielding swords? Sword and shield?

PS: I actually like the spikes+sawblades arena... it's the most predictable one and the easiest to move in.

Sawblades are my least favourite since getting teleported in to them can murder you. The other traps are a lot more forgiving if you end up inside them. Not a problem if you always avoid the teleport circle though.

This is the best setup/layout I've seen for a long time. Farmed the lab last night till I fell asleep and hoping to get out of work quick to continue till 8pm. Was reaaaaly lucky with 2 helm enchant rolls too, got 20% flame totem projectile speed for my totem guy and got 20% phys dmg increase for AW for my EQ/AW char. Happy times!

If you don't want to get teleported into traps... just walk away from izaro when he starts the teleport animation. It's an incredibly long animation, and even a pure melee build running multistrike has ample time to escape.

Seriously, since I have figured out this mechanic I literally have not been accidentally teleported even once across 4 characters with completely different play styles.


Anyway, too bad it's just merc lab and not uber lab :P Though, yesterday's uber lab had no golden doors and was pretty fast to run (but didn't have the only-two-rooms-per-section advantage; you needed to do 8 total rooms aside from izaro).
