Can Unset Rings (Essence Worm) be Chromed?
Anyone know if it's possible to change the color of unset rings, particularly Essence Worm? I want to buy two, but it seems odd that all the cheapest ones are blue...

and if you are feeling really craaaazzyyy you can vaal it and pray to RNGesus he gives you a white socket instead of taking your socket away. but its really not worth since chromes are so cheap :p

pffft, 20 failed attempts or however many it takes is completely worth it to be lazy.
Sure, the lab can be hard, but it's pretty easy if you're properly geared, and not terrible at the game.

I'd recommend not vaaling an unset ring. One outcome is rewriting the implicit with a corrupted implicit. The implicit on an unset ring is the socket. A white socket is literally the only positive outcome and it's not valuable. How much does Vorici charge for 1 socket color?

" Well, for some people it's worth it on The Pariah. But for any other unset ring I agree, totally worthless. Last edited by codetaku#0468 on Jun 20, 2016, 9:59:05 PM

" Four chromes. Given that applying a chrome manually is guaranteed to change something, there's a 50% chance of getting the color you want with just a single chrome. No point in using Vorici for something that doesn't even have off colors. |

"you sure? iirc it just rerolls, so result can be the same And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

" The result of chroming can never be the same. if it rolls the same result, it will re-roll. Same thing for Jewelers and fusings. You can test it by buying a 1 socket itemlevel 1 item from a Lioneye's watch vendor. Using a Jeweler's orb will always turn it to 2 sockets. Then buy another and repeat the process. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/657756 Last edited by dudiobugtron#4663 on Jun 21, 2016, 3:08:34 AM
