Being DC'd at the Ascendancy Altar

Yeah, yeah....just do it again and learn not to wait for longer than 30 seconds to pick.

I finished it alongside my brother, and even got my glove enchant (Check my character Wingaudium_Leviosa ). Checked his tree cause he was asking me something, and while looking, it said that we were DC'd on each others' screens.

I was still ingame, so I quickly put my points it (I was actually deciding, but rushed to the decision to hope I could salvage the run)...when I logged back in, my brother at least got his ascendancy, but I didn't get anything.

DCing is tolerable when It doesn't waste 30+ minutes, but I seriously cannot even enjoy this game right now...and I'm unsure if I even want to get back into it with how frustrated I am.

Flame away. I know game developers don't assist players with these things, so this rant thread is just here to vent my obvious anger towards the game.

I did Cruel today, put an enchant on my gloves and left. Didn't get the 2 points though :(

I personally think that the game should save your progress once you got your ascendency, not once you enter sarn again. It almost happened to me too yesterday (dc'd 0.25 seconds after entering sarn) and it already happened to me once before.

It should grant you the points right as you click the Altar, but then again my scenario is so 'unlikely' in regards to timing that it wouldn't actually fix anything.

My biggest issue, is that after the DC, I put my points in and got the effects of the ascendancy, so it definitely wasn't my connection. It was logging back in to see the server rolled me back (cause the server itself DC'd me) that made me kind of lose it.

I've had the exact same thing happen, there was much rage to be had.

It's the biggest weakness with the Lab, and considering it has some major weaknesses that's saying something.

Agreed completely. In almost any other game, a DC does not equate to this kind of loss; there's a reason I don't play hardcore.

Not to mention, you don't even need to be in combat to lose the progress.

How do you even dc ? Maybe bad internet ,yesterday I did act 3 ,4 ,lab normal ,act 1 ,and no dc ...

Truthfully I have never got a dc when in lab ...the few times I have had succesion of disconects because my internet connection was somewhat fucked up ,but the only other way I get out of lab is when I die.

Lab is the only place I DC or CTD. The other day I got stuck on a locked door 1 area away from last fight. Couldn't move or cast. Had to close the program. It's the buggiest piece of shit GGG has made yet, bar none.

Yep, I've never DC'ed once after the launch of Prophecy but last night, I got an error after clicking on an entrance to the next zone on the way to the 3rd boss fight, and it dc'ed me. Needless to say, I did not go to sleep too happy with this game since I decided to try to collect all the silver keys on the way, and took my sweet time going through the lab..
