According to this article, trials can only be found "in lower maps". Try to run some t1-t3 maps, maybe it will help.

2nd map (mountain ledge) had a trial... However it rekt me 3 times and I moved on :-/ so in HC I would wait till 90 and then anyways reroll :-/

well lower is any white maps so that'd be up to tier 6.

Pretty sure they can be found in any maps.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

I found one in a Zana Gorge map that was level 69, so I think they can spawn in any map.
It could also be that they spawn in any non-red map. Also, to add my stats to the anecdotal pile: I found 2 different trials and 1 repeat within about 10 maps. |

I've seen like 6 trials by now, started mapping today. They shouldn't be that rare, maybe a week at most to finish them all if you're semi-casual.

" They can spawn in ANY map even Red maps. Doesnt matter what Tier. Its just another RNG thing. And ofcourse after talking to a few other people about it seems like its just like map drops themselves.. Some people are seeing quite a few trials and some are running tons of maps and not seeing any. Basically just map as normal and if you find one great if not just keep on grinding. There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. Last edited by Demonoz#1375 on Jun 5, 2016, 11:00:28 PM

" I disagree. I found two trials both at T12 Village Ruin and T12 Crematorium. It's all about RNG. |

Started mapping yesterday, found 4 trials for the day in maps from t1-2 to t8. I suspect I was lucky although having more map trials to run is a mixed blessing.
You have to be realistic about these things.
