[2.3] Hierophant Super Tank Killing Machine - 13K+ life pool - 10k+ armour - Spellcaster Template

With the recently announced Grand Spectrum jewels i wanted to theorycraft a build that made use off all 3 types of jewels. Sure, you can stack 12 of the same jewel to get more damage than you ever need, but lets be honest, that is both overkill and boring. With the mana jewel it made the most sense to go hierophant. The result is a build that is both surprisingly tanky and has huge damage potential.


In my build i use 11 grand spectrum jewels, i will be using the following:
3 Cobalt (495 mana)
4 Crimson (3300 armour)
4 Viridian (220 ele dmg, which with stats from weap/tree is more than enough)


Below is a list of possible stats with mediocre gear, a breakdown of the math is at the bottom of this post. These stats can be pushed much further with actually good gear:
5k Life
6.3k ES
40% MoM
13.3K Effective Life Pool
CWDT/Immortal Call setup possible
8.8k Armour (12.8k with an ironskin flask)
550%+ increased ele dmg
7-Link with lvl 30 spell echo


The build itself:
The build was designed for a firestormer, it should work for any AoE spell, but can easily be adjusted to work with non-aoe spells as well.



Uniques used:
Kingsguard (the charge duration is god-tier with the slow rate at which you get charges)
Pledge of Hands

Just poor wording, i was trying to say the tree can easily be adjusted to work with non-aoe spells as well (by speccing out of the AoE nodes)

Your effective life pool calculation is wrong.

Actual effective life from MoM assuming 5k life is:

5000 / (1.0 - 0.4) = 8333 life (1.67x life multiplier)

To ilustrate why this is, if you had 50% MoM half of the damage would only go to your life, doubling it's effective value.

This assumes you always have enough mana to soak up (in this case 3333 mana is needed unreserved).
As soon as your unreserved mana drops below 40% of life you no longer have a 1.67% multiplier to life since you can get 1 shot easier.

And last but not least, your ES calculations are also off:

13.9k with ES up
5k without mana
