Starfish of wraeclast Incinerator 2.2
Hi this is my first guide on my incinerator. Incinerate was my most played skill before it got nerfed to the ground during the last few patch. However, with this 2.2 patch, a lot of ‘silent’ buffs has been given to incinerate and perhaps I thought it would work all again.
Elemental Focus – 30%-49% More elemental damage (we don’t depend on ignite anyway)
Controlled Destruction – 25%-44% More spell damage (we don’t crit anyway)
Elemental Overload – 40% More elemental damage if we crit (we need to abuse it somehow)
These gems support and buffs are giving incinerate comparable damage and clear speed compared to other OP skill like bladefall and vortex. (Totally my own opinion). The idea is to build a tanky incinerator that is able to run thru most hard content and having fun at the same time.
Leveling experience is smooth as incinerate can be use at level 12
Fast clear speed against both mobs and bosses
Very very defensive
6 Endurance charges
Fast movement speed
Can be done on a budget
Most map mods even blood magic
Temp chain and chill ground are no issue
Damage is decent even without vaal molten shell
Reflect damage mod can’t be done unless you want to invest in two consuming dark and use armour slot for links
Party play, everyone can only see your skill
Elreon jewel is needed for at least a slot
Jaggernaut Unbreakable double armour bonus is insane with unwavering stance throw in. This is single handedly the reason we are able to achieve high armour 17k above without determination. Definitely my favourite ascendency class.
Jaggernaut Unflinching gives you 20 percent chances to gain endurance charge when you are hit. This ability is huge since you are always mass zerg by perandus mob which almost give you 100 percent up time with max endurance charge. At level 65, Scold’s bridle is going be a huge impact on the build when use in conjunction with Vaal Molten Shell, It give us 100 percent uptime with Endurance Charge when you are taking hits all the time and down bosses like a boss.
Jaggernaut Unstoppable give 14 movement speed which helps with our clearspeed since we don’t whirl around, more importantly chill and temporal chain will not affect any of our movement and cast speed which is huge in maps. You can’t be frozen too.
Mind Over Matter – Clear Mind – Essence Worm. Mind over matter makes our mana our EHP and Clearmind give us higher spell damage if theres not mana reserved while essence worm reserved no mana which give us more EHP and a free aura.
Sire of Shards. As pledge of hand used to be godly with MoM build and incinerate but we can’t do that here since spell echo no longer support incinerate. Thus Sire of Shard is actually the next best thing due to removal of needs for GMP/LMP for incinerate which improve the damage and at the same time free up a socket for us. Plus it looks really good when you’re burning the whole screen.
Curse. warlord mark link to CWDT give us 2%life leech and 2%mana leech which double up the effective leeching since both our health and mana makes up our EHP. Incinerate has many cast per second which help with the sustain.
Trypanon. This is totally optional, with a trypanon equipped in swap weapon slot, you can link it with cyclone preferably and trigger elemental overload and switch back for incinerate. We have high movement speed to compensate the lack of attack speed.
Kaom's Heart. This setup is meant for end game. Kaom’s Heart gives the build a huge return on the investment of life, together with endurance charges and unbreakable, we can still reach a decent physical mitigation.
First 15 points – The jewel slot is meant for Clear Mind Jewel, giving boost to spell damage for levelling
Next 44 points – Going for Mind Shaper, Elemental Overload, Mind over Matter, and much needed intelligence node
Next 63 points – Filling up with mana nodes and reduce mana nodes and life nodes
Next 91 points – Filling up with life nodes, life chaos resistance cluster, cast speed, fire damage cluster, templar elemental damage cluster.
Much of the build is complete at this moment; you can either go for duration node for vaal molten shell, more damage in the witch cluster, dual curse or any other variant you might like to go.
We want a 6 link Sire of Shards eventually with BBBBRR or BBBBRG,that being said it can be easily done on a 4/5 link also. This is the core weapon for the build, Sire of Shards remove the need to use GMP/LMP and free a slots for incinerate.
Any high armour roll chest piece with decent life and resistance would be preferable.
Scold's bridle is core upgrades for the helmets as it allow us to proc endurance charge together with juggernaut unflinching. Using in conjunction with Vaal Molten Shell for additional clear speed.
Essence worm to give a free aura. Anger/Determination/Purity of fire is all recommended
Elreon ring with -8 mana cost and other stats
The gloves, boots and amulet can be combination of life, resistance, armour, cast speed/spell damage and dexterity
Incinerate Q9 and above is recommended as it increase your AOE coverage
Incinerate - Elemental Focus - Controlled Destruction - Faster Casting 5th Fire Pen 6th Empower or Life Leech/Faster Projectiles
CWDT level 1 - Immortal Call level 1 - Warlord Mark - Increased Duration
Vaal Molten Shell - Increase Duration - Elemental Focus - Controlled Destruction
CWDT level 1 - Ice Spear - Greater Multiple Projectiles - Increased critical strike chance

To proc elemental overload, you get blasphemy + assassin's mark. Incinerate can crit with ass mark and you'll have 100% elemental overload uptime.
You can also optimize your routing in the passive tree:

Thats a nice idea and the optimisation of the routing.
I would use it if i drop the essence worm and reserve my mana, but that would means i lost a bit of the dmg from clearmind jewel and MoM combo. :)
Currently with trypanon and CWDT ice spear + gmp - the uptime is pretty solid too

Does this build require Scold's Bridle, or is it merely a useful endgame upgrade for people with a large budget?
