Standard vs League (Economy & Population)

Just curious, is there any numbers or stats about which is more popular/healthy? Mostly played leagues but more and more wanting to just stick with standard curious how healthy the standard population is.

a long time ago, GGG released information about population of leagues but it was the only and last time they did this, since then the only stats they release are flavourless stats like "most used skills" but never shows the least used skill
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
The population is absolutely healthy, many people dont play temp leagues same as many people dont play perm leagues :) some people play both.

I would say its 50/50

As for economy, good rolled items / 6l items are easy to buy or sell. Just dont expect to sell some trash rares or uniq in standard like in temp legues. Overall items are more expensive because of more currency on the market.

So basicly you just said that standard economy is under the effect of huge inflation , thus can't be considered healthy .

Good to know .

Thanks. I like the leagues but its just so hard for me to justify doing the same story/acts x 3 again just to play a new league when I work 50 hours a week + play 2-3 other games when I can. After leveling 10 characters through all acts its not something I enjoy doing the story has always been meh.

I'll have to give standard a shot then.

I don't know if inflation means unhealthy. If you can still sell your goods easily and buy goods easily but its just inflated, that's just different. not unhealthy.

I would not call it unhealthy for this kind of game we are playing, there items dont break, dont get destroyed and are not bind on equip.

You just need to remember if for example new cool uniq is released it will cost lets say 10ex at the start and 1 year after it can cost 1ex.

So for this kind of game with its specific rules the economy in std is normal in my opinion just dont invest in expensive uniq's if you dont need them.

Standard is great as you can get geared up for end of merc for like one ex. By the time your pushing for lvl100 upgrades are way more expensive than temp but they exist. All the cool legacy gear too.
Selling is a bit of a pain compared to temp from what I remember as there are so many items competing. Currency exchange is easy (though thats more to do with poe.trade than anythinhg I imagine). Im the same as you I started ib temp and stayed in std after merge relvlin with no gear and currency is notsomthinh/g Im likly to do again
