Chaos conversion and elemental node interaction.

I think I am right here.. but just wanted to make sure.
If you are converting 100% of your damage to chaos damage, does picking up elemental nodes from the tree still boost your DPS? My scenario: 2x The Consuming Dark Fiend Dagger + Pyre Sapphire Ring while using Ice Trap. Will picking up "Elemental damage" nodes in the passive tree still increase my damage? I thought I read somewhere that it does. Just wanted to make sure. Mess with the best, die like the rest. Last bumped on Apr 20, 2016, 4:39:26 AM

Yes it will. When converting damage, modifiers to both damage types will apply at full effectiveness to the converted portion.

But it will not increase poison damage. So better only take nodes that will increase both poison damage and chaos damage (non elemental increase in damage or chaos damage).
