Leveling a Templar

Hi, i never leveled a templar before and i'm about to do a support build, but since the build can't solo and i don't have other characters to respec, i'm asking: what is the most effective way to level a templar without being dependent on the skill tree too much? If i read correctly i should get 24 respec points through quests and i have another ~20 in my stash.

Or should i party with someone else to push me through the acts?
