Chance to revive HC Character

So I died to insane lag on a box ... 5 seconds freez, RIP 2 days 2 Hours 56 minutes.

6k Life, 12k Armor, max Resi, high End PC .. what else can i do? That's just so frustrating. My first Char in HardCore to get Level 80

I don't care if its a Microtransaction. But i will not play this Game again till you fix that Lag or give us the Option to revive because of that.

Then you aren't a HC player; HC players dust it off like they don't give a fuck and make a new char. Not complain on the god dam forum and demand to revive their precious char.

Maybe you should stick to SC.

well i give a fuck .. i don't care if i am dying to a boss or to a mistake, i just start again. I have over 300hours in PoE and Level 79 was my highest Char.

But this is dying to a Game issue. And thats difrent, because its nothing you can do. But the developers can.

And if you say nothing, nothing will change. And this Game will lose more and more Players.

shortly after i posted this, the ggg defense squad rushed in to tactically remind op that "when you create an hc char the game warns you that your exile cannot be restored due to lag or game bugs"

Most of my HC deaths are lag deaths. Breathe in deep, breathe out a little deeper, and remake. It's apart of the experience. Getting off-screen 1-shot isn't exactly the most fair circumstance either but it's HC; the whole thrill is being able to lose a character to something. If you could NEVER be killed what would be the point? Your character is nowhere near the "tankiest" to die on HC to lag so while I understand your frustration with it being a "stupid" death I do not understand the quitting.

Play HC or don't; if you do, be prepared to die. Know that some deaths will be beyond your control and get over it.

Dying to lag is sad, but you can't do it as MTX .. some technical lag-detecting wizardry, that can't be abused to cheat perhaps.
But if it was for money HC would be just SC with a paywall.. ;/

Nah, it is hardcore gaming defense squad.

What that's what most HC people do right?

Lag is a part of HC. When opening a box you should prepare for lag. Here are some things to consider doing next time:

- drop down a totem or some minions/etc to help draw aggro (skele totem, decoy totem, whatever you like).
- Use some defensive skills like molten shell or Vengeance etc... that can help kill white mobs even during a lag.
- Pop flasks anyway, even if it's lagging. Sometimes the instructions get through and save you. Try and guess what will be happening and pop the defensive flasks and life flasks periodically.
