Trap cooldown

Just a quick guestion about that if i get 70% trap cooldown recovery from tree and use the trap cooldown gem for other 49% would that make the cooldown 0 or how is it calculated?
Trying to figure our a way to make a "granadier" build with instantly exploding traps with instant cooldowns. Last bumped on Mar 29, 2016, 4:26:03 AM

"Increased Cooldown Recovery Speed" works similarly to "Faster start of ES Recharge" for ES users.
No amount of increasing will ever get the cooldown to 0. The equation is: `Final = Base cooldown / (1 + increased cooldown recovery speed)` To get Final to 0, you would need an infinite amount of "increased cooldown recovery speed". --- In your case, with 30% on the tree and 40% from saboteur, you're getting (1/1.7)=58% of the original cooldown. With a gem for another 49%, that brings you to (1/2.19)=45% of the original cooldown. |

so 1,85second cooldown for my trap im planning, seems rather pointless to use the gem then.
id rather use other support gem then and try to make do with it. |
