What is the best way to roll off-colours?

I'd really love to try out an Iron Will Marauder, but I guess that I'll need to roll about 3-4 blue sockets on a pure armour chest piece in order to get a 6link and decent defence ratings at the same time(aiming for the Juggernaut ascendancy). What would be the best way to approach this goal? Straight up chrome the armor or one of the 3 Vorici blue socket crafts?

I offcolored many items (because I'm stubborn and stupid) and let me tell you one thing - this is the most frustrating thing in poe. I know quite a few people that quitted the game because of this shit. IF there is any chance to buy an item with the colors you need just buy it. Four blue sockets on a pure str. armor could become the nightmare of your life if you are unlucky.

The chance is based on the attribute requirements of the item. The actual best way is to alteration spam the item until you roll reduced attribute requirements, then use the vorici calculator for the best way. Once you have the desired colors scour the item off and begin crafting.
