No sound on generic sofware - only through USB DAC + Headphones

Great game. Great audio. I'm having some frustrations with trying to get the audio to play through my speakers rather than my headphones.

Running windows 10. I have a Fiio E10 connected via USB as well as set of logitech speakers hooked up into a 3.5mm jack on the mobo. I seem to only be able to play back audio through 'generic software on SPDIF interface'. There are two 'generic software on speakers' options under the audio device dropdown selection in PoE and neither work. This seems different from every other problem I found while trying to google a fix, where people can only make software audio work and the USB DAC/sound card will not work.

I have made sure the speakers are my default sound device in windows as well as selecting generic software on speakers in PoE. I have tried multiple fixes, I will try to get them all:

1. -swa to launch options
2. Unchecked "allow applications to take exclusive control..." for all my audio devices.
3. Unplugged the USB DAC, restarted PC
4. Run PoE as administrator, and in Windows 7 compatability mode.

I still have never head sound come through my speakers. Ironically I realized that there is a line-out on my USB DAC while writing up this post and in the meantime I've just plugged my speakers into that, works fine. However this is obviously a bug and I'd like to have it resolved to get my setup back to how I usually keep it.

So you don't have a sound card and you are hooked into the Green plug and not the pink one right? is there software installed for the Fiio E10?
