That's Weylin. He was an Ezomyte like Rigwald, but they weren't the same person.
Rigwald was part of the Purity Rebellion that overthrew Chitus, so he definitely wasn't left to die in the labyrinth as a stepping stone to Chitus' ascension. Gameplay & Level Design
