Fastest Solo Lab Clear of the Day Gets a SPECIAL Unique Jewel

With only 3 available (per Difficulty) per day, provided it is good/in-demand, it could potentially be the next rarest thing after a Mirror (I remember hearing estimates that approximately 1 drops a week, so with these Jewels it'd be 21 per week. Just think, how many Exalts drop in a day what with THOUSANDS of players... But only 3 of these Jewels.)

The jewels may not be that great.

They should've rephrased this as the guy with the x10 mirrored GG gear + build who decides to do lab gets the special jewel of the day.
I'm excited to see what these jewels are.
But why is there a leader board for normal and cruel? Sounds weird. It would be nice if it would have a level cap, because otherwise it is only end game chars only, like the merciless one.

It's better for Normal/Cruel to have a leaderboard, that way all of the non-op/mirror-geared people have a shot at it! xD

Actually it's the league division that ensures that. Normal and Cruel will be 'op/mirror' gear people bait on Standard. There is, to my knowledge, no upper level limit for accessing the Labyrinth in any difficulty.

I imagine a level 100 mirror-geared character on Standard could shred the normal Labyrinth in minutes. Single digit.

I love this concept though. So far we have

-treasure keys
-treasure rooms
-leader-board
-labyrinth only unique's
-leader-board price

So things are looking "okaish" on the incentive part. However i still think there should be an ubber labyrinth with a leader-board. Even if only for braging rights and to seriously motivate people past lvl 90 with a goal.

There should be, but where would it go? It can't go in Merciless Act 3, because the level 68 one is perfectly placed there.

A map? That's too random.

So yes, there SHOULD be an uber Labyrinth. Some level 90+ utter nightmare for the elite folk to really sink their teeth into.

And I bet GGG considered it. And I'm willing to bet they came up with the same roadblock as I have.

Where would it go? How would you access it? Would you just make the merciless act 3 one become uber if a character has finished it and ascended a third time? Well, that's unfair for people who just want to grind chests and enchantments in the level 68 version.

A separate option upon clicking the statue? Possible I guess, but clunky.

But absolutely and truly, yes. There should be a version of the Labyrinth that makes maps look like a stroll in the park.

A map.

Multiple reasons for this and ways of doing it though.

- if its seriously difficult, it will be placed on the market by many players. Power-players will buy it to challenge themselves.

Put a leaderboard for it and a reward like all others(perhaps per week, instead of day, IF the difficulty demands this)
The reward can be illusive like ubber-atziri unique's.(doesn't have to compete with regular labs reward wise)

- access can be traded, this is good since it will be content only a few players will attempt.

- make it normal labyrinth drop only, it would be like the "hope" drop equivalent in a labyrinth run. Which is a very good reason for running it.(on-top of the current incentives)

- ensure it is so ridiculously difficult, players cant chain labyrinth and then go ubber labyrinth.(this should be obvious)

However, what i assume the real problem is is that this map would be the only map in the game with a single portal and required to be completed solo.(to actually simulate the current labyrinth access style, which should be preserved)
I think that wouldn't really be an issue, but maybe GGG has other thoughts on this subject.

(fun addition : make one of the treasure chests at the end of "ubber izaro" contain maps, just for shits and giggles youtube vids of people going YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH $_$ )

edit : to clarify, ubber atziri is targeted at perhaps 5% of an active ladder (and i think i am being generous) so the "random" part of a map is a non-issue if the drop-rate is reasonable and the content itself excludes a big portion of the player-base.

It's for the pinnacle of the player pyramid sort of speak. So even if only a few drop in a day, all will be funneled to these players who can attempt to complete it.

edit 2 : how about hiding it behind 4 treasure icon drops, like atziri frags :D only obtainable in the labyrinth itself, but with a non-stacked drop chance (as in none of them being more rare like "hope fragment" is) it would be another cash flow from top pyramid to bottom, like hope farming is.
