[2.2] Sunder / Sweep Champion (HC viable)

Introduction
This is a basic duelist build that uses Sunder/Sweep as the main skill. (Sunder recommended)

I chose the Champion subclass of duelist because of the free permanent (and slightly more effective) Fortify. This frees up one gem slot which can be used to gain more damage or utility.

We benefit from the Champion subclass especially in the early phase when we don't have a 5-6 link weapon/body armor.

Instead of linking in fortify as the 4th link, we use the link to gain MORE damage, while still rocking that permanent fortify with +35% increased effect!

Ascendancy stuff
Spoiler
Enchantments
Spoiler
Helmet: 20% reduced mana reservation for Arctic Armor
- Allows us to use Herald of Ash while still being able to use mana to use skills

Gloves: Decree of Tempest
"Charges you with energy. After a few seconds it detonates, dealing lightning spell damage to enemies around you. Position yourself carefully for maximum effect."
(might not scale very well with physical damage, but charges very quickly with our attack speed.)

Subclass discussion
Spoiler
The build can be done as Marauder too, and the Berserker subclass is probably the best option if you choose to do so.

I would not recommend that for hardcore league play thought, since the increased damage taken (from Aspect of Carnage) is multiplicative just like the Vulnerability curse's increased damage.

Cloaked in Savagery is a very plausible option too, thought, but I would say that it's more situational.

Cyclone
Spoiler
You can easily alter this into a Cyclone build by changing the mace-related passives into the axe-related ones and dropping the Multistrike support gem.

This is because of that the axe weapons have higher base range (which the Sweep skill ignores).

Alternatively, you can use an actual Cyclone build.

Feel free to ask questions regarding the build. I'm also open for constructive criticism.
How have things been going so far? Any updates on your progress? I've been looking to do some sort of tanky Duelist build.
how do you sustain mana, mana leech on gloves/ring?

are you only using hatred or one of the heralds too?

any uniques planned for endgame?

It's very tanky. Lot's of life and mitigation.

In early game you can use Warlord's Mark on blasphemy to sustain mana. After that you can sustain mana by using mana leech on gear.

I suggest to use Arctic Armor for more tankiness but Herald of Ash is a viable choice for standard league. In endgame you can use them both with hatred if you get the specific head enchantment that reduces mana reserved for Arctic Armor.

Endgame uniques are mainly flasks: taste of hate, atziri's promise.
