Question about instant recovery flasks

Hello there..

I noticed that some flasks have really low recovery amount even with high quality. When I look deeper I also noticed that they aways have 2 mods that go together with them :

For Mana Flask :

"50% Reduced Amount Recovered"
"50% of Recovery Applied Instantly"

For Life Flask :

"66% Reduced Amount Recovered"
"Instant Recovery"

Ok, but I'm not sure that I can fully understand how they work.

Lets try with the instant mana flask. I have linked one from my storage here in the post. Recovers 48 mana over 2.8 seconds. But we have 50% of recovery applied instantly which means we got 24 instant mana and then another 24 total for the next 2.8 sec ?

The instant life flasks are even more mysterious for me. Lets say we have one that recovers 37 Life over 6.5 seconds. But this flask got "Instant recovery" mod and then why we have time ? For what are those 6.5 seconds if I will get the whole 37 Life instantly (according to the mod).

Thanks for the explanation
I am assuming it is just something all flasks have, and it would not make sense to go to through the effort of hiding the value if it was not useful with that specific flask.

I further assume that, even with instant recovery, if the other mod was something like '99% increased evasion during flask effect', the time would still apply to that effect.
95% of all statistics I use are backed up by SCIENCE.
