How to lower graphic settings even more?

Before "The Awakening" there was a way to lower the settings A LOT, now it doesnt work. You can now lower the settings in the configuration options within the game options, but cant lower them that much. My computer is not that great and with the super lower options I could run the game 100% fine. Right now, with the lowest possible settings that the options allow, the game sometimes freezes and doesnt work totally well.

Is there a way to lower the graphic settings even more? (like before "The Awakening").

After you have lowered all the options in the game's UI,

You can try the following adjustment to textures.

Go to:

Documents/MyGames/Path of Exile/

find the file:

production_Config.ini

Open it with Notepad.

Search for (using Ctl+F, or Edit - Find) the text:

texture_quality=1

(your number may be different than 1)

Set that number higher - I'd try 3 and 5 first before going any higher.

(I tried it at 5 and 7 on an old lap top-and didn't really see much difference between the two. Both were VERY blocky, but they made the game playable on a machine that would otherwise lock up and crash every time I changed instances.

Save the file and restart the game.
