2.1 Butcherofbones Blade Vortex build Idea Crit w/ CI, GR, VP, and MOM

Been playing around with Blade Vortex on a Shadow for the last couple weeks. There are a few blade vortex builds on here. This won't vary too far from them. My basic idea was to stack crit multiplier and crit chance.

The main difference from my build and the others is I build up a decent Energy Shield.

I started at Shadow and circled around through Witch then down to the EShield Wheel.

Cybil's paws worked well while grinding low levels, I used a Tabula Rasa with no issues until I was able to equip a Carcass Jack. I then switched my Cybils into Eclipse Solaris. This really made the build shine, since I'm always close to things when I hit them, they are always blinded, and the extra 280ish% extra critical chance to blade vortex makes things melt.

Once in the Carcass I grabbed the keystone Chaos Inoculation. Other Keystones I picked up were Ghost Reaver, Vaal Pact and MOM.

Currently my gear is

I recently 6 linked my Carcass (was very painful and would of been cheaper to buy one made) I use blade

my 6 link blade vortex is > Increased Crit Strikes > Increased Crit Damage > Spell Echo > Concentrated Effect > Life leech

I also dual blasphemy with Warlords Mark and Enfeeble.


This is a work in process, it seems to work very well, basic idea is to just get up 5-6 vortexes and just run through things.

I'm contemplating dropping life leech in my 6 link for something else, but I like the instant energy shield on pretty much any hit. My EShield is pretty low right now at roughly 2200, this is something I plan to address over the next few levels.

Currently my blade vortex has a tool tip dps of around 3700, which is deceiving as it don't take into account the extra crit chance.
