useing vaal orb on gems

when i use a vall orb on a level 1 gem and it gets level 2 will it have a max level of 21 or cant you level a corrupted gem?

In that situation it will only level until it reaches level 20. If you want the +1 from a vaal orb you need to do it on a level 20 gem.

Yeah, the corruption isn't "+1 max level", it's simply "+1 level". So only when you do it at level 20 can you get a level 21. They can still gain experience though. Otherwise all Vaal gems would be stuck at level 1.

the corrupted ones (that are level 2) are more expensive

It makes no sense to sell level 2 corrupted Enlightens for more than uncorrupted ones. They can never reach level 4.

i understand that, but if yo check PoE xyz you will se exacl that.
ppl selling level 2 corrpted ones for more than level 1 uncorrupted.
ofc its already level 2 bt the level one can become a level 4 one.

It takes a long time to reach level 2, so it should be more than a level 1 regardless of corruption. Not everybody is trying for a level 4. In many cases level 2 or 3 is enough. Corrupting a level 3 is a huge risk. At worst you'll drop back to level 2 and lose countless hours of leveling. It's against the odds to get the +1 level. I thought you were comparing apples to apples and that both cases were the same level.
