Help! Giant mouse cursor when down-scaling resolution

So, I was lucky enough to get a new laptop here for XMas and thought I would see how PoE runs. At 4k with integrated graphics it was a no-go, so I figured I would bump it down to 720p and try that.

However, I couldn't change my resolution in game. My cursor was fenced off and I could not click the accept button. So I went into the .ini and changed the resolution there, which seems to have worked fine except for one glaring issue.

Down-scaling my resolution causes my mouse cursor to become HUGE. Like 20x normal size. I can change it in game no problem now, but the cursor on anything other then my native resolution is larger then it should be. Running Fullscreen mode.

I tried searching the official forums and reddit and didn't come up with anything. Has anyone come across a similar issue? Any ideas I could try out?
Have you changed the DPI or just the resolution?
Hey thanks for the reply! I believe I have only changed the resolution. Is there an option to change the DPI somewhere?
Usually in the Windows display settings, there is a DPI setting... Maybe changing that will make it look better.

I've seen another report recently with the same issue, but I don't know about it personally or know if they found a resolution.
I did actually try turning DPI scaling off in the .exe properties and it did not seem to make a difference.

This did give me an idea though... I tried swapping my resolution in Windows to 720p to see if that would help. Path of Exile still booted up in my default system resolution, and when I tried to swap it to 720p my cursor was huge again. This is in both fullscreen and borderless windowed mode.

Any ideas out there? It is really sad because although this system has a better graphics card when compared to my old laptop, it actually will not run PoE as well because I either have 10FPS at 4k resolution or have a comically huge cursor covering up the action.

Hmmmm, no one has come across this issue before? I did email support yesterday morning and have not heard back yet.

The laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 900 with Intel Pro 520 onboard graphics, and a native resolution of 3200x1800. It only recently came out, but it seems really odd no one has had this issue with other high DPI displays.
Ok, I am able to resolve this issue by turning off display scaling in Windows. Unfortunately, this makes my system UI super tiny so I have to swap back and forth if I want to play PoE. Pretty lame.

No comment from GGG at all? Maybe this can be fixed in a future patch? It seems like the option in the PoE client .exe for disabling DPI scaling is not working correctly.
I'd throw a thread in the Feedback forums for specifically the DPI scaling issue with the cursor. You can also put a link in it to this thread for reference.

This forum is primarily users assisting users. GGG is busy with email support and a lot of the other forums. Feedback however is one place the devs/GGG read and take note of. It will just get lost here.
