Essence Drain + Consuming Dark is game breaking

It needs to be nerfed before everyone figures it out.

Consuming Dark allows for flame totem to stack poison on top of Essence drains overpowered synergy. The dagger frees up a gem slot giving it even more damge then it had before. This combo is too much before it was fun and kinda broken but now its just too easy. Nerf poison before i max out and have no reason to grind.

GGG kinda dug their own grave introducing all these contents just so that mechanics that had no value out of nowhere becomes broken on the spot. There is just too many stuff in the game that it is really tough to balance. Just even balancing is hell on Earth. You either nerf it to the ground making useless which is as good as not even bothering to have them be brought to the game.


Either make this game impossible from beginning to the end, or let power creep happen.


It is impossible to find the right balance with so many mechanics, so conversion factors, so many gems, so many support gems, so many items.....and even the tree...that just trying to find sweet spot is like trying to find a needle in a one acre haystack. Not trying to be negative, but with Ascendancy expansion a couple of months away, I fear power-creep will get stronger.

They need to add some sort of rng to poison, every tick should be between 1%-5% damage. Or the mosters can resist like a status affliction.

Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

Even if Essence Drain is bugged and they hot fix it they still need to rework how poison works, im pretty sure my flame totem is doing just fine atm without me spamming Essence Drain behind it.

I feel the same, but there is no way they would release new content without actual testing right? ... right?!

On the other hand even bladefall/vortex with no links are crazily overtuned. Something that would be noticed at very first use.

GGG needs a serious team of testers.
Then again, it might just be the usual game-design philosophy to make new stuff power-creepy to make it more attractive and then nerf it later on.
