permanent loot allocation occasionally fails for some currency

playing with a friend from my guild we discovered the perm loot allocation mode sometimes doesn't work for alchs or alterations.

i know there only is a 5 minute allocation period in permanent loot allocation, the issue really is with fresh drops.

anybody else experiencing this issue?

I can say that I have noticed several instances in the past few months where a party member and I will have access to the same drops, including rares and currency (jewellers, fuse, alchs), despite the fact that the map mode is verified to be on permanent allocation.

Noticed this often when running zana missions in a party of two, where we were in party before starting the mission and both present in Zana's lab before opening the instance. Map mode was confirmed to be permanent and no one had left the map; this occurred for fresh drops, but sporadically (most items would be allocated, but a certain mob's drops would not).

This was not a case where the map mode defaulted to short due to starting a map solo. In fact, it continued to appear after GGG issued a patch to correct this problem. I think that I have only seen it for Zana missions following the patch, however.
now that you say it, it may be that my case refers to zana missions too as we did alot together in the last days.

have to verify the issue for normal maps but sadly i can only play today and then mid january again. 8 weeks league, yeah... :-(


just happened again to a regal orb in a normal desert map run from the ho's map device.

i'm getting this alot recently. the worst case was yesterday when an exalt dropped and both myself and my friend went to pick it up. i got it but it caused some friction for a while.

i am using a spark build so off-screen kills happen quite regularly but i see no reason as to why off-screen kills should not allocate the same way as on-screen ones. item allocation should apply in all kill/drop instances

the other thing i have noticed is that if an item is allocated and both players leave the item on the ground and come back to it (well within 5 mins) it is now NOT allocated to a player. surely allocation should be PERMANENT when set to that mode

just share it by taking the exalt and pay your friend 30 chaos.

the issue described above is probably caused by monster's skills destroying environment (vases f.e.) that can carry currency.

it doesn't get allocated to a player because no players' skill was involved.

I think the primary cause of this is offscreen kills. Back when everybody used spark totems it happened all the time.
