Drillneck quiver, should I corrupt it?

Other than resale value, is there any reason I shouldn't go for that extra arrow?

Only if you can afford to brick it.

+1 arrow is a very nice corruption, I guess you would prefer 10% pierce if you go for 100% pierce build and you absolutely need those 10% to do it. Or if you use it for Poison, pardon, Corrupting arrow build, extra arrows don't mean much there.

Yeah, I'm using Infractem bow , "arrows always pierce" so that's not a problem.

Destroying the item.

Corrupting an item has various out-comes, one of those is turning the item into a rare.(which is called "bricking it" by the community)

Corrupting an item can have negative impact. The worst in your case would be turning the quiver into a rare with 6 mods rendering it worthless.

I think this term comes from the fact that the now ruined item is worthless and as useless as a brick - aka only good as a paperweight with zero functionality.


My general rule of thumb is not to corrupt anything until I have a solid backup plan.
For instance, I also have a drillneck on an old bow character in standard, but I did not consider vaaling the quiver until my new bow character migrated over from the 1 month flashback league with a second drillneck that I could still share between characters if the first one became ruined.
It doesn't have to be another identical item, just something else that would work in the meantime until you can replace the potentially lost item (a solid rare perhaps).

i vote corrupt everything, all the time !!! well, not really BUT if you have a spare, then hell ya. I have found many and I corrupt them all except 1. They are incredibly cheap now and getting that plus 1 arrow will be amazing if I hit it someday.

Haha well I said I'd "consider it", but I didn't actually do it yet (for kind of dumb a reason):

One Drillneck is equipped on a build that was nerfed so badly in the last patch that I never bothered to play her again (puncture + elemental prolif combo). Haven't even logged into her to salvage gear.

The other reason is that the second quiver is located on a tornado shot ranger that I played so heavily during the 1 month flashback to finish achievements that I had no interest in playing her again any time soon. I've been playing arc witch and ST-CoC since then.

Once I get bored of my current builds and feel like returning to an archer I'm sure I'll convince myself to do the corruption on one of them.
