Is there a best time to browse poe.trade?

Just wondering if there was a time period when the most people are on poe.trade?

I've got a few characters that are "Stuck" until I can upgrade some Rare's for Resists and such, but despite being told over and over and over that I should "just go spend 2-3c on Poe.trade" to upgrade my stuff, I'm unable to find anything less than like 30-40c+, and it's getting a bit frustrating.

I don't think I'm being too picky on the stuff I need for most of the items I need, so, I thought I'd check to see if maybe I'm just playing at odder hours than most and might try trading at different times.

That's probably your best bet but I would say the prices do vary a lot depending on the time I see items that go for One exalted go to 20C depending on the time of day and demand of course, depending on how badly I want a item I'll pm the person on the site and use /whois name to see if they log on while im playing to get a hold of them.

*Shrugs* A couple items I have to be picky on due to attribute requirements, but, most of the rest I've been flat out told "You can get something with X, Y, Z stats for a few Chaos"


Looks like I might just have to set about harassing all the offline sellers then.

What sort of item are you gunning for? Can you show an example?

For my Witch I need Tri-res Gloves with any amount of Energy Shield, with a reasonable amount of resists since the stats I lose for a handful of extra resists wouldn't be worth it. Thinking for her it might be easier to find some stuff to sell for an Enlighten or two so I can get my Aura's up sooner, and can go for worse gloves.

My Ranger and Duelist are a little more complicated, since I need a whole bunch of resists across their Rings/Ammy's (And possibly Quiver, in the Rangers case) and my Duelist also needs... 57? Int (I'd have to double check to be sure).

I can replace a single bit at a time, but, each bit I'd replace would lose me other bits of resists, making it harder to find other jewellery to suit my remaining needs, so I'm trying to find all three at once, or ones that are a direct upgrade without losing anything overly important, or ones that just aren't too expensive so I can afford to gamble on finding a "Matching" set later on.



I suppose I might also just not be experienced enough to actually know when an item with similar, but different, stats is outright better as well.


Edit: My Duelist and Ranger kinda need Life, or room to craft it at least, on the Jewellery as well... Not a requirement as much, but, really hurts to drop life for both of them.

Can you post your current equipment? It makes everything much easier.

EDIT: Your witch wears nothing but uniques and your ranger and duelist practically as well. Ofc that puts serious limitations on jewelry. If a character is built around 0-1-2 uniques, it is much more flexible.

You already have Shavs, 6 links and pretty gg items in general. Of course you wouldn't be able to get upgrades easily.

Yeah, I tend to be drawn more to builds that use a lot of Uniques so I don't have to fall to the whims of RNG quite so much with Rare Gear.

As you can see, did not work out that way at all.

Not much I can do with my Witch or Facebreaker, they're both fairly tied to their Uniques.

I could maybe move my Defiance from my Ranger to my Facebreaker, leaving a Chest slot free for her... but... Then I'd need a 6 slot Rare Chest, and they don't come cheap either.


*Sigh* My own fault though, I saved for the shiny pretty uniques (Or was given some) and neglected my Jewellery, so my Jewellery is all mid-game crap, and my Uniques are closer to end-game stuff.
