Orb to increase base stats - uniques included

The idea would be a very rare orb (as rare as exalt) that would increase base stats of items (just like scrap and wheatstone increase quality). This could also be made so to increase the base stats of uniques. They would increase lv req and stat req as well of course.

The problem with uniques is that many have great stats for some build, but as u get 60+ levels, because of the low base stats (like low dmg,armor,ES,evasion etc) they become completely useless, so even if u building a interesting different build with a unique you cant still use it high level due to the limitation caused by the lower associate base stats of the item.

Something like Voll's protector, that has a HUGE DRAWBACK like reducing your mana by half and having almost no other stats other than the power charge one, even if your build could use it for some reason, it would be impossible to use at high level, because u would simply lose too much from the low base stat. Making completely unwise to create a build around a unique, which I think is a mistake in game design of the game.

Even unique with ilevel high, because were dropped at high level, roll with the same low level base (not talking about the %s, about the base stats).
This I think should be fixed, and adding this orb would essentially fix it since would make possible to get them to as high base stats as when they dropped.

Perhaps on uniques the increase base stats orb could be only used until it had achieved the ilevel of said unique (the level it dropped), to discourage people finding a great ilevel 10 unique and never needing to upgrade this item slot due to this orb availability, so only people farming 60+ that had this a high ilevel of same unique, could use this orb to eventually, after perhaps 50 orbs worth of upgrade could have the pimp unique they build their build around.

I think this would only improve on the unique item design, by giving rewards to people that really put the investiment in some uniques for diferent build. A big investiment i reiterate, since the orb would have similar worth to exalts.

As the game is right now lots of well designed uniques are only worth for builds around the level of its ilevel. Execption some jewelery which has no base stats, some not base required type of uniques like explosive arrow and minions and some other "cheese" based builds (like stun tresghold % build) and few others.

I think the whole point of unique items having a low base stat is done purposely. Some uniques have properties that make you want to build a character specifically for that item, and the drawback being that this unique has a low base stat.

If such orbs were introduced and uniques were being upgraded to the point that they have similar stats as a high end rare item, then people will almost always pick to use the unique because there are no longer any reasons not to.
i would agree to a base item upgrade orb but not for uniques, or add a cap where uniques base items cant go pass lv 60.
