Your Hot Key Setup - Witch Summoner
As a new player; reading detailed build guides can be difficult for me to gain an understanding as all the details about gear, passives, support gems, etc. don't mean a lot to me as a casual player and what I can get to in my build.
However; if I knew how a pro player had his skills setup in the Hot Keys, I feel that I could back into the best gear, passives, etc. I could build to support that setup. So; could you share with me how do you have your Hot Keys setup on your Witch Summoner, such as: L: Move C: Ice Nova R: Summon Raging Spirit Q: Spell Totem with Summon Skeletons W. Flesh Offering E: Raise Zombie R: Aura X T: Flame Dash Thank you! Last edited by HoustonNative#7607 on Oct 27, 2015, 1:59:51 PM

I use a priority system for assigning skills, and I think that your setup is pretty close to what I use when playing a summoner. Because this is a priority system, it works independent of your skill choices.
Assign your most commonly used skills on the mouse buttons, the Q, and the W keys. Here's why:
Spoiler
Your mouse buttons will always be the most responsive and the easiest to repeatedly use.
On a keyboard, your index finger and middle finger are mechanically more responsive than your ring finger and pinky finger. [That's a biomechanical fact of human-machine interface design, although on this forum, i'm sure someone will disagree to prove that they can.] Thus if you are using the QWER keys, you will be able to hit E and R faster and with more control than Q and/or W. Since the TAB key brings up the large map by default, I find it helpful to have my Q button be a rarely used skill since I am often hitting the TAB key with my pinky as well as the Q key. In practice, this means that I do the following for my current character: LM: move CM: Flesh Offering RM: arc T: 3rd Curse R: Main Curse (Temp Chains) E: 2nd Curse (Enfeeble) W: Convocation Q: utility (flame dash/totem/skellies/vaal haste/vaal discipline, etc...) I bind the SPACE bar to be the "stand in place" action; I can easily hit it with my thumb. You can cast an aura and it will stay active after you change the button to a different skill. You could free up a slot by changing the W key you have assigned to auras to something else after you cast it. |

A tip: if u put your golem to left mouse button; it will act as a move button unless you click shift + lmb; which will summon the golem.
This should be working with zombies too, but haven't tested it. secondly; you can use macros as long as it sends only 1 command per button click. Which is useful if you want to cycle Vaal Haste's or potions |
