Death Penalty?
|
Question: Is the death penalty to elemental and chaos resistance permanent? If yes how does this stack?
I have read that there is exp penalty, which sucks, but I like it. The idea of knowing that one mistake could cost me hours of play time keeps things interesting. ...but I can regain that exp by playing more. A permanent resistance penalty is like losing a leg in RL: a handicap. I get that death is supposed to be harsh but risk of a permanent handicap is too much. PS I apologize for bring up a topic that has probably been discussed to death. I am new and can't find a clearly stated answer nor a "Noob" discussion board. |

What is the death penalty that you are referring to? Your resists get worse the first two times you complete Act 3.

There is no resistance penalty upon death. Cruel and Merciless difficulties have resistance penalties of -20% and -60% respectively.

There is no permanent resistance penalty due to death.
The only resistance penalty is from difficulty. In cruel difficulty, your resistances are all at -20% In Merciless difficulty, your resistances are all at -60% No stacking, no penalty for resistance on death etc... IGN: Mortui_Resurgent, Quisinart, DarkVoid, BlindFury
