What does DND mean?

A new /DND mode has been added. You type "/DND hello" in the chat box and it says something like, "DND mode turned on: Auto reply hello". If you type in "/DND" then it says something like, "DND mode turned off". If I'm inactive it will still activate AFK mode. I assume replacing the DND auto reply.

So what does DND stand for? I doubt it stands for Dungeons & Dragons but I don't know what else it stands for. If I knew that then perhaps I could understand what its intended use is? Perhaps it is for when I join a group and don't wish to deal with any trade requests?

do not disturb would be my guess, and your last sentence seems to be a good use for it.


/DND to go play dungeons n' dragons would also work.

I tried to use it saying something like "back at the top of the hour" but that use case wouldn't work if it went into AFK mode? Anyone know what happens with the DND message if it goes into AFK mode?

It stands for 'Do Not Disturb'. The auto-reply message simply acts as a voicemail to players that message you when that mode is activated.

Ex: /dnd I'm recording a video at the moment. I should be done within an hour or two.

Given there's a proper auto-reply message, it should shed light to why those trying to get in touch with you can't or why they should leave you be for the time being.

To answer the previously unanswered outstanding question. When DND mode is active, that message takes precedence over the AFK mode message. So if one has set a DND message then that DND message is the auto reply message even if AFK mode is activated.
