Can Strongboxes get some boost?
[li]Armourer's Strongbox = awful drops, useless drop for high lvls.[/li] [li]Artisan's Strongbox = Good one, keep it the same.[/li] [li]Blacksmith's Strongbox = awful drops, useless drop for high lvls.[/li] [li]Cartographer's Strongbox = Good one, keep it the same.[/li] [li]Gemcutter's Strongbox = useless since 2.0 release.[/li] [li]Jeweller's Strongbox = awful drops, useless drop for high lvls.[/li] [li]Large Strongbox = even more increased quantity awful drops, useless drop for high lvls.[/li] [li]Ornate Strongbox = even more increased rarity awful drops, useless drop for high lvls.[/li] [li]Strongbox = random mix of awful drops.[/li] 3/10 works great, but the rest just give awful drops every time even with 2000% rarity. Agreed for most part exept cartho sucks atm it was nerfed way to hard and jewellers srongboxes r good imo.

Yes, why don't we make all boxes as rewarding and "important" as carto and arcanist. And why not make it so all boxes spawn 3 rare monsters and 3 packs every time, whats the point if they don't do that. We want a garuanteed unique and/or 6 socket from all the item boxes, and at least one 20Q gem from the gemcutter! ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Anywho, the way i look at it is, some boxes you want whats inside, and some boxes you want what they can spawn outside. You do know that if they buff all the "weak" strongboxes, they will rebalance and nerf them overall... You just wasted 3 seconds reading this. I've been wondering for some time : have affix chances been rigged so that alching strongboxes would most of the time give you a single affix that makes it give better loot?

Jeweller's Strongbox is very good to get rare jewellry and jewels
Gemcutter's Strongbox is great for quality gems or vaal gems And no matter how bad is box it is still very good because it spawn 3 pack of monsters, can spawn 3 rares or 3 magic packs close to each other and they drops items too. The fact that you said gemcutter strongboxes doesn't give me an other option than:
NO, DAMNIT, LEAVE THE STRONGBOXES AS THEY ARE. Btw. gemcutter sb do not only drop quality gems and vaal orbs, they also have a chance for an affix for dropping gems with experience. I once got a spectral throw 19/16 out of it. Throw 4 GCP in it, get the last level and now it's a clean ST 20/20. Btw.: want to sell ST 20/20. ;) The other sb are useful with high level too or did they remove the "chest level +5"? Get gear with itemlevel 84 on a level 79 map. Maybe craft it if it hasn't gotten the right mods, but the item level is high enough for all mods. |

There are also affixes that give you very decent chances of getting nice loot, like +2 sockets, or all sockets linked.
