[2.0] "Warkyr” 500k-1M dps Ignite LL 100% Fire Cyclone

Postponed due to University work ;p
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Warkyr” 500k-1M dps Ignite LL Cyclone (Theorycraft - Being built as we speak)

This build can be played on either a which or a shadow.

So this build at the moment is still in the process of theory crafting. I am currently levelling the character on the one month league and will update this thread accordingly. This mechanic works 100% (confirmed)

The concept:
- We use an Oro’s Sacrifice which has pure fire damage and a 20% ignite chance. With 30% from our tree and 15 from ur jewellery, when using the Chance to ignite gem we get a 100% ignite chance on hit. (Oro's also gives nice frenzy charges ;p )

- We combine this with cyclone a skill that hits twice per spin applying ignite twice as often as other melee skills.

- When taking these two aspects and combining them with the Emberwake unique ring which allows us to stack ignites on top of each other we effectively can stack a massive amount of ignites per enemy.

- I will be going low life due to this allowing unto pick up many defensive as well as offensive auras. It also will give us a form of mana sustain.

Auras:
https://poe.mikelat.com/#_0VoRXJd/90=resc/H8TnyX

The required alphas i believe is worth it letting us run all three purities.

The math would look something like this:

Lets say we have around 60k tooltip dos (will prob have more), with an attacks per second of 5. We are then applying 10 ignites per second each dealing 6k base damage (this gets multiplied by burning damage ) over the course of 5 seconds. this means we can stack up to 50 ignites on one enemy. Lets say you you are dealing 2k damage per sec on an enemy after 4 seconds. 2k times 50 would be 100k on top of your tool tip (lets say 170k together) This will be multiplied by around 500% by the following item:

Now this is only the beginning of our damage.

Our second ring will be “the taming” giving us 10% increased damage per ignite on an enemy. You can already imagine what type of damage this would provide.

Since this is a low life build running 3 purities as well as discipline, we can get a load of defences.

Now as you have probably already noticed this is not an atziri build, since she cannot be ignited. However ith 60-80k tooltip dps without ignite and a purity of fire and light, as well as a load of es, it is still perfectly viable.

There are a few builds using the timing and ember wake together already, but this is the only LL cyclone Oro’s i now of. (if this isn’t the case please make sure to post a link in the description to the thread, id love to see how it worked out for said person.)

You might be thinking this build cannot be completed to its maximum efficiency on a one month league. I have however been quite fortunate with crafting this league, and currently possess tens of exalts as well as a voll's, so getting a 6L oro’s and a taming (the “hope div card) should not be a problem.

For the 6th link I have yet to decide between a blue socket for a switch between inc aoe/conc/Prolif or a red for life leech.

This still all a theory crafting thread and a lot might still change over the course of the next week while i try max this build.

If i have misunderstood any mechanics please also inform me below.

This is where you miscalculated. Ignite does 20% of the base hit per second for 4 seconds. With Emberwake's 80% less burning damage it's 20%x20%=4% of the initial hit.

With 60k tooltip at 5 APS your base damage per hit is 12k. Assuming this is all fire, you would ignite for 12kx0.04x5=2.4k per second. So basically the ignite would only add 2.4k on top of your 60k.

Now if you stick in elemental proliferation and the taming, that might add up to something, but I don't think the ignites themselves are worth anything.

You posted this message before I uploaded the tree. Also this is only an example to show what the mechanic would look like.

We are getting flat fire from anger, around 200% fire damage aswell as aroudn 100% burning damage from the tree, well over making up for the emberwake.

We are also getting tons of elemental multipliers next to fire, and Celestial punishments 25% inc damage against ignited enemies. Not to mention Oro's Frenzy charges.
Dont worry, we are getting damage :)

You have a point though with the 20%, but what you dont realise is that this 20 % is Per Second, totaling up to 80% of your base hit. With ignite duration+ and the burning damage multipliers we are getting we are evening it out. I suggest for people to read into http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Ignite before considering this build.
Thank you for contributing though.

I have now also uploaded the Skill tree (under construction - things may be changed) as well as the aura calculations.

very interesting concept. What level of content have you been able to manage so far? any chance for a video of game play at any content level?

Thanks for sharing this!
With no shield, no es from helmet and no es from rings, you will have a very small pool of energy shield. On top of this you're melee, and I'm not sure ignite damage leeches, so how will you simply not die the second you cyclone into a pack?

If this all works out as planned i am planning on investing time and effort into this thread with graphics, gifs videos etc. As for now i want to see how it all works :)
I am currently leveling this char and should hit 70 by tomorrow

I will be using fire leech with vaal pact, so that will be one source of sustain. We also have a load of es.
Elemental damage wont be a problem but phys might be, i might replace one purity for AA or invest into a lvl 4 enlighten.
Its kind of sharing a coc cyc builds mindset where the sheer amount of offence is your defence ,p
Will come back to this when the time comes.

Also:
There is absolutely nothing stopping you from trying this concept with a staff or a shield and using a spell instead.
I know there are Incinerate versions of this mechanic with ridiculous damage. You will then have to consider the costs of a 6L shavs.
If you dont take incinerate, but another fire (or cold with AOF+cold to fire) skill, then i suggest going crit for your source of ignite with replacing the ignite chance gem with PCOH or IncCritChance.

Id love for someone to try out a spell version of this that i could then include in this build guide once it becomes one.

Btw if anyone tries this with a mage, i suggest going blood magic and using vitality for skill cost coverage.
