[2.0] laothunder's BM, Low Life NO ES, Block incerate

Pros:
Can take on any spell caster boss ( beyond bosses, warband bosses, Invsaion bosses)
Blood magic and high HPS lets you not need mana.
This build can kite many monsters and not worry about stun/freeze
Can TANK bosses.
Can use the instant health on low life , life flasks.
You can have a set of MF gear and readily switch to, "wonder trap"
good in parties for its aura's and tanky ness


Cons:
expensive. You need kaoms and taste of hate.
you need every mitigation you can to be most effective.
corrupting blood and other degens can kill you if you don't pay close attention to your health globe. since its small you need faster reaction time.
Physical damage is dangerous. especially ranged physical damage because you cant kite them.
Damage is not very high. Clear speed can be slow.

levels 1-25
You can use any skill you want until you can get incinerate. Scions don't have much damage in the beginning so we go for the Templars damage nodes right away and fire nodes to the right.
IF you can get a Elreon ring it is really easy to level.

until you go blood magic focus on getting health and block nodes.


level 45-60

So once you get high enough levels your gonna want to start heading towards blood magic and the aura nodes at the top. you need to the aura nodes to put you at low life.

At this point you will get most of your damage from jewels. You can use the "clear mind" jewel for lots of damage when you get blood magic.

when you go low life you need to have daresso's courage or a high blocking shield.

you will need to have life on every piece of gear you can.



level 85

This is my current tree.


Now I will talk about all the things you need to be awesome.

Damage
Jewels are very important because they make up most of your damage.

Use colbalt jewels with cast speed/ cast speed with shield/ spell damage with shield/ 1% block with shield.

Use clear mind for spell damage. Cybil's paw will give you spell damage too.

Try and get a 21 incinerate with quality. if you can do that you can drop faster projectiles for Fire pen or iron will.




You will need a good flask setup and a nice belt to support your flasks.



Mitigation
lori's lantern helps because it makes enemies unlucky
your ring and ammy need cast speed dex int max life.
your other rare gear needs life dex int.
Arctic armor gives 12% mitigation while standing still.
your armor will give you about 20%
and your evasion will let you evade about 20% of the time.
you want to have around 61-65% block chance
to get a good spell block chance with your Daresso's courage.
Have CWDT setup for tempest shield and CHaos golem. Molten shell is optional.



Play style
A dangerous boss
You want to pop your flasks when you encounter blues rares or bosses.
you need to watch your life for corrupting blood.
when your immortal call goes off always check your life. it below 30-50% pop a pot otherwise let it regen back.
rares and bosses can be kited with whirling blades, you can whirling blades over the enemy to chill him.
try and keep your flasks up when you fight a boss. if you take a big hit WB away.

With KAOMS HEART
Main damage = Incinerate-Faster Projectiles-Spell Echo- LMP
Movement and utility = Whirling blades-faster attacks-purity of fire- flammability
Immortal call setup = CWDT- IC - Increased Duration - Enfeeble
Auras and buffs = anger-vitality-arctic armor
utility = CWDT - tempest shield- chaos golem

with belly of the beast you would have a 6 or 5 link and put you incinerate there with the same plus Iron will or fire pen
you will also get an extra four link you can use for more defensive skills like enduring cry, or link tempest shields/molten shell with CWDT and blind.
