how to craft a "20ex" (LOL) coc vagan's dagger

I see a lot of people selling coc mastercrafted vagan's daggers for 10-20ex. I don't like it because it's a scam and I'll give a hint for the newbies.

You can craft the same dagger with 2-4ex + some minor currency:

take a vagan's dagger and regal it

if you hit a good prefix/suffix go for multimod

if you hit a bad prefix, vendor it and go for the next dagger

if you hit a bad suffix, roll "prefix cannot be changed" and scour it. In this way you have a 1 mod-rare dagger you can multimod with 4 mods instead of 3.

If you're going for the typical high crit one that benefits most from Hits Can't Be Evaded then Platinum Kris is probably the best followed by Demon Dagger.

OP what u says is right, but u neglect one very important fact. It is very rare to get that dagger from him and even rare to get a better base. 20 ex maybe to much(still depends on base and rolls), but 10 ex is ok for good rolls.

When you go for multimod (=less mods) every base is ok because where you have more global crit chance, you also have less att speed. Maybe the best one is the poignard (lower version of ambusher) but not by far.

I'd make a dagger with hits can't be evaded, spell damage, flat ele spell/leech as prefix, and multimod, local crit chance, att speed as suffix

those daggers are not very rare if you do/abandon the vagan's dailies. 10ex is still overpriced imho

you make it sound easy, but getting the right base from vagan can take a month or longer in dailies, and even then your regal has a very good chance of hitting a bad mod and brick the dagger to vendor trash.

that's why the dagger is worth so much. not because of the cost to craft it, but because of the rng required.

daggers with less than 1.4 attacks per second base arent even worth the currency to craft on. it's very rare to find the right base.

there are a lot of vagan's daggers on poetrade for 1ex each or less, 1.4 att speed ofc.
the 1.2 ones are for 10-15c

you can get a bad mod or a good mod (and the cost of crafting would be 2ex + some minor currency), but you can also get a mod higher than masters' ones

EDIT:
a "bad mod" is only a bad prefix, if it's a suffix you can use the 3rd way to craft it.
