Mana cost multiplier mechanics

Hi all. I have a question reguarding mana cost multiplers.
Currently I am using an incinerate in a tabula rasa. It is supported by LMP, faster projectiles, fire pen, spell echo and faster casting. All of those supports make the spell cost 150% extra mana (or a total 250% cost if you prefer). Now incinerate is still at level 8 and as such has a casting cost of 6 (on level 9 it will have a casting cost of 7). So if my math doesn't fails me, 6*2.5=15. The spell is costing me 21 mana however. So the question becomes. Is there some hidden formula that make the costs of multiple support gems increase with more gems added, or is it that the spell doesn't actually cost 6 mana as it says it does but rather 6.x? Support gem mana multipliers are multiplicative with each other, not additive.
Your (incorrect) calculation adds the multipliers together before multiplying by the base cost: 6 x (1 + 0.4 + 0.1 + 0.4 + 0.4 + 0.2) = 15 The correct calculation multiplies them all together instead: 6 x (1.4 x 1.1 x 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.2) = 21.7 For try for see and for know.
