Loot Filter UI missing

I formatted my disk last night. Got all my drivers and windows set up, started path download and went to bed. I had backed up my filter online so i was able to just create a new text document, copy paste then rename .filter.

So i load the game up, change the graphics, audio, lockstep, and menus/life bar settings. Then i get down to where the loot filter is supposed to be, and its not there. Not even the option. Nothing.

Im not sure if there is something i need to turn on in the config, but i don't remember having to do that before. I ran the pack check, nothing. I don't understand this.

The .filter file has to be in the correct directory. I'm not at my computer now but I think it goes in the documents-my games-path of exile folder.

If you just reformatted then it is likely that your not showing extensions, and as such the renaming would be whateverfilter.filter.txt

No, i turned off "hide file extensions of known file types".

Maybe i was unclear, I don't even have the option to select a filter. There is nothing about loot filter on the UI menu. It has nothing to do with the file missing or being named wrong, there is no option whatsoever.

Well if it doesn't detect a filter file the option doesn't show in game. You sure its in this kinda folder?
X:\My Documents\My Games\Path of Exile

You running Win 7 or something else?

For win 7 the filter needs to be placed here:

C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile and that the lootfilter has the .filter like this: ZiggyD's Loot Filter 1.0c.filter

Edit: It's possible since that it is not picking up a lootfilter, that it disables the option? (Going to go test this ti see what happens)

Edit #2: Righto, deleted my .filters out of the specific folder they are supposed to be in. Without a proper filter in the folder, that options does NOT show. Either your filter is named incorrectly or you have it in the wrong spot.
