how to message people ingame?

hello, ofc i know how to message people if i know their character name ingame (@charactername) but often i want to message people from the trade forum ingame - but i cant because it seems that "@accountname" doenst work?? is there any other way how i message them?

can anyone awnser pls?

If you find someone in chat that you wish to message there are 2 things that you can do.

1: @charactername Insert Message here.

2: Press Enter. Right-click the name & press the button named: Message player.

you can also quick reply to someone who msg you by pressing CTRL+ENTER

You can never use the account name to msg another person. The account name will Never be displayed unless you have them on your friends list. The name you see in chat is the characters name that they are currently using.

Adding them to your friend's list via their account name works. Then press S to open up the Social Panel, right click on their name and hit message.

As far as using the @ command to message an account name, I do not think this is possible.

Well, the least you can do is ask for their IGN.
