Corrupted Portal Gem / Vaal Portal

I think it would be a cool if you could corrupt a portal gem and have a chance to turn it into Vaal Portal and after gaining sufficient charges or maybe when 0 monsters are remaining, casting the gem would open a portal to a random corrupted area of the same level of the zone you're in.
I think it is an interesting idea. What are your thoughts? Sound the dread alarm, through the primal body! Sound the reveille, to be or not to be. Rise! Stay the grand finale! Stay the reading of our swan song and epilogue. One drive to stay alive! Elementary, muster every fiber. Mobilize! Stay alive!

"Yea I am not entirely sure how it would work. I can see some bad things about it already after thinking about it a little more. Balance issues of not every area is supposed to have a corrupted zone in it. There are certain jewels that grant more charges to Vaal gems so would you then be able to open more than one corrupted area in larger zones? Could it even be possible to only have it trigger when 0 monsters remain and forget about the charges? I'm not sure how it could be implemented properly so that it isn't exploitable other than 0 monster remaining, when considering the extra vaal charges jewel.
