Chaos orb & Vaal orb questions

Hi guys,
I fail to find the answer to the 2 below questions in the wiki:
-can you use chaos orb on unique to reroll the status ? I'm curious whether i can reroll my jewel clear mind to try get a higher %
-can i use multiple time vaal orb on gem to try to get the vaal version ? I corrupted a Haste but it didn't become vaal

I went back last week into the game and had a lot of fun leveling a dual totem witch.

Chaos orbs reroll what mods an item has, and can't be used on uniques because they have fixed mods. What you want is a divine orb, which rerolls the values of the mods an item has and can be used on uniques.

No, a corrupted item can't be modified, including by vaal orbs.

with chaos Orbs you can only reroll RARE items. And those will completly reroll all mods to new mods.
Wiki : "Reforges a rare item with new random properties"

What you want are Divine Orbs
Wiki : "Randomises the numeric values of the random properties of an item"
To be honest, i won't roll them on that jewel.

Vaaled(corrupted) items / gems can't be modified - not even by a vaal orb.

(later on Items can still be colored / socketed / linked with a Vorici8 bench)

It's always a bit hard for me to remember all the details, divine orb says it reroll explicit values. For clear mind, which mod is the explicit value ? both ? (mana regen / increase spell)

Also regarding clear mind again, I understand it's BiS jewel for dual-totem, you don't think it worth it to use Divine orb ? (mine rolled 49%, i could gain 11%).
That's not in my priority list anyway, just starting a2 merciless.

edit: also i was wondering, a corrupted gem (becoming vaal) can still be leveled ? I read we can't increase its quality anymore though.

Yep, corrupted gems can be levelled. Else you wouldn't be able to level any Vaal skill, since they're all corrupted.

Also, corrupting a Portal gem is the only way to get it to level 2 (which has a chance to remove the level requirement for use). =^[.]^=
