Unarmed Crit - Will it ever exist?

I realize this is very speculative and all, but how possible do you think it is that GGG will ever add crit to unarmed attacks?
I understand that crit is intrinsically based off of weapon crit chance for attacks and spell crit chance for spells, but unarmed attacks have a 0% base, allowing crit's to only be possible with assassin's mark, and still not likely with that.
Personally I think adding unarmed crit would be a super cool addition, even if it is just 2-3%. It adds another option to the game, and I think the thing PoE does best is provide players with inventive ways to play.

Crit is inefficient if not stacked in huge quantities. Just a little won't be enough.

By the way, as far as I know, you can crit unarmed if there's an Assassin's Mark curse.

Guess what, 8% and a bit of crit multi is so inefficient that you won't even notice it.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Yeah, it would probably take a lot of investment to make it at all worth it, but at least it would be an option.
And going from 5% (assuming Assassin's Mark is up) to 8% is HUUUGE in terms of viability.

I could try and make a crit unarmed build right now based solely around Assassin's mark, and it would be so bad it would have to be considered Inviable. With an extra 3% it would be possible. And definitely not game breaking.
Even with an extra 3%, one would have to focus specifically on accuracy in the passive tree and on gear, just to make it possible. But at least it would be possible, whereas now... not so much.

I just think it is a really good addition that GGG could include in the game.
