bloodlust gem and blood reaper
|
i was using cyclone/ice crash with
and this weapon instead of added fire i have there now. but i noticed it isn't working. nothing is bleeding. i thought bloodlust would be the ultimate combo with the blood reaper. the gem states that it cannot cause bleeding so i am guessing we have to apply bleed first and then use a different link with the bloodlust gem to take advantage of the 48% more damage to bleeding enemies. just some information for people so they don't do the same mistake i did. i don't know but maybe leapslam first into a pack to make them bleed then attack with cyclone and bloodlust would work? yeah u need to apply the bleed with a non bloodlust linked attack. With my cyclone chars I have 2 cyclone setups now, the disfavor ranger has quite a bloated thing going on with a normal attack cyclone in the axe and cyclone + blood magic + fortify + curse on hit + enfeeble + inc aoe in the chest. So I have left mouse attack cyclone and right mouse fortify+enfeeble proc cyclone. That stops me having to stop spinning, I can just occasionally tap right mouse to reproc fortify and curses mid cyclone. So I can bloodlust my main cyclone if I want because I have a utility cyclone without lust to proc bleeding. I havent played that char much though since patch, still leveling a bloodlust gem so Ive not actually tested how the deeps feels with it. I think for me it would be a boss swap because I wouldnt want to bother proccing bleed on every mob if I am more likely to just 1 shot them with added fire instead and be on my way.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" yes i drew the same conclusion after some testing in act 4 cruel dried lake where i am now with my lvl 55 marauder. something i would use vs bosses. killing normal monsters fine without that so far. that's a clever trick there. two cyclones. one on each mouse button. might steal that idea =) |
