Opinions on whispers of doom?

I notice that not many people use this passive. I managed to get it and find it absolutely amazing due to how powerful curses can get. Being able to stack 2 curses that never wear off makes merciless very easy with the occasional struggle against curse immune champions.

So does this skill get used more often than I think?.. Are the curse immune champs really a deal breaker?
I think the main issue is its position on the tree, its pretty out there for many builds save for witches and templars. Also there is a set of boots that give the same effect that also have great stats for classes like Templar wander or marauder etc.

But yes it is very useful, especially as a summoner since you can stack arc and physical weakness on trash while your minions decimate everything in sight.

For me, the frequency of curse immune champions is high enough that I depend very little on curses.

Now, PvP is a different story, I hear. . .
It can be all kinds of awesome yeah.

I'm currently trying to put together a Punishment/Vulnerability templar. It'll be glorious.

Using the Passive on my Freezing Pulse Shadow.
Enfeeble gives a permanent -35% damage reduction on all mobs and less hit chance.
If the mob is hard, the situation is dangerous seccond curse i throw is temporal chains. Makes everything into puffy little baby monstes that dont do you any harm.

For all normal mobs I use frostbite and one of the other curses.

I find Enfeeble plus the effect not wearing off is one of the most effective defenses in the game right now.

Since I went for high crit chance I was in that area allready when I picked up the 60% spell crit node.

And yes there are quite a few curse immune monsters. But you can greatly isolate them by using curses on the rest of the mobs sorounding it. You can then pick up the immune monster after killing the rest of trash.
Btw Act bosses can be cursed... And having two curses on them that dont wear of is quite strong in my eyes.

I am really, really, really bad at recasting curses. I'll cast it once then forget to redo, so my ice/crit witch is headed straight for the double curses so i can try it out. It sounds like it would be a good thing to have. Between that, my skeletons on the totem and ice Spear as my main spell, I figure she should be interesting enough to be my farm character.

My beloved pets....
If your build can get this, GET IT. The for-ever curses are insanely powerful. I'd honestly suggest using 2 curse rings if your build can handle the stat loss too. The Amount of damage curses can do to your opponents offense or defense (or both) is just obscene.

Thanks for the replies :) It seems like more people use it than I thought. I looked through many builds with very few recommending it. I know about the uniques but I'm not really trading much... and I find the permanent curses very attractive.
I havn't made a single hardcore build that doesn't use both Enfeeble and Temporal Chains. Both curses increase survivability far too much to overlook.
