How do different sources of physical damage mitigation interact?

I searched for this quite a bit but couldn't find anything.

The question is, when you use different sources to mitigate physical damage together i.e. lightning coil, endurance charges, arctic armour, etc.., how do they interact and in which order?

Any help would be much appreciated!

- LC splits incoming physical damage into physical and lightning part
- your armor score is compared to physical part to get armor physical mitigation percentage
- other sources of physical mitigation, like endurance charges and soul of steel are then stacked on top of armor mitigation
- then you apply the total increased/reduced damage taken, like vulnerability, shock or fortify which stack additively with each other
- and you also got damage taken multipliers like arctic armor which stack with nothing

So, to clarify, the order is LC/ToH->Endurance charges/soul of steel->armor->vuln/abyssus/shock->arctic armor/fortify?

Endurance charges/soul of steel/chaos golem buff are applied simultaneously with armour.

For example, if you're hit for a certain amount of physical damage which gets reduced by 30% thanks to armour alone and you have 4 endurance charges and soul of steel (20% additional physical damage reduction) the actual reduction applied at this stage is then 50%.

Also, Fortify is applyed simultaneously with vuln/shock/abussys like raics wrote. If you have Fortify up and get shocked you will take -20% + 50% = 30% increased damage at this stage.

Technically Arctic Armour is calculated together with other modifiers to damage taken like fortify and shock but since it's less fire/phys damage taken it doesn't stack with anything and is applied by itself.

Thanks a lot guys for the clear answer.

For a character with no armour, lightning coil, 7 end charges, chaos golem, fortify and arctic armour, physical damage mitigation would look like this:

(((X * 0,7) * 0,68) * 0,8) * 0,9 = 0,342 for an effective reduction of 65,8% (order doesn't matter here as all modifiers are multiplicative)

Same character with armour:

(((X * 0,7) * ((1 - (Armour /(Armour + (10 * X))) * 0,68) * 0,8) * 0,9

Let me know if any of this is wrong :)

This part
((1 - (Armour /(Armour + (10 * X))) * 0,68)

should be
(1 - (Armour /(Armour + (10 * X * 0,7))) - 0,32)

Like I said, LC first splits physical into lightning and physical part which are separately mitigated so armor gets compared to just the physical part, not all of it. And when you get phys reduction from armor you add end charges and chaos golem to get final phys damage reduction. Physical damage reduction from armor is the same stat as the one you get from endurance charges, with the notable difference it needs a hit to be calculated so it doesn't work versus damage over time.
