How does buying points first, and converting to packs work?

Dear all, I read that we can buy points first, and if I want to convert my points to a support pack, I can do that but at 80% of my points purchased.
So say, I bought 1000 points (100 dollars). If I want to convert to a support pack, is my earlier points purchase equivalent to 80 dollars, and I need to top up another 20 dollars to convert to a pack? Thanks! |

Everything has a value in both $$$ and GGGgold. You can use your unspent GGGgold to upgrade or purchase a supporter level too. Just contact support and they'll figure it all out for you.

" You are able to contribute up to 80% of the value of the pack you are upgrading to from previous purchases, provided those purchases were made since 20 April 2015. The entirety of the purchases made up to that limit can be contributed. For example if you have purchased 5x $20 packs, and you want to upgrade to the Vaal Pack, then it will cost you $30, as 80% of $130 is $104. If you had purchased 6x $20 packs, you would have to pay $26 to upgrade to the Vaal pack. Please contact support@grindinggear.com if you need any assistance.

Ure almost correct in understanding how points contribution works. Except that Gary is telling u its 80% of the pack price and not 80% of your prior points purchase.
