Malachai Cruel

15k armour (84% damage reduction), 3.5k hp, max resist, and 1 shot by malachai in Tempest league. Throughout 99% of cruel difficulty i don't think my hp dropped below 50%, and suddenly i am one hit KO'ed...

Not exactly what i would call a fun mechanic for hard core players that spend almost all talents/gear on HP and survivability.

I lost my first Tempest character in a similar fashion - I simply stood where I was not supposed to (brain fart) and suffered the consequences.

All of his attacks are possible to deal with and avoid - especially the hard-hitting stuff. What I gather from your complaint is that you intentionally took the hit and died as a result of underestimating the boss.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every second of it.

I think mostly i am saying since all of cruel was very easy not even seeing my life go down against most bossess and suddenly BAM one shot doesnt really seem like good balance to me. I know i am going to experience minor lag spikes sometimes as well (and when that happens dodging isn't really an option), whereas if malachais damage was spread more evenly i would have had time to react to a sudden sense of danger... to this point it seems like sustained monster damage should go up, one hit KO damage should go down. I mean this mechanic might make sense for merciless, but cruel...

He has a couple attacks that are intended to be avoided, and GGG made sure that you have to this time (as opposed to Vaal and Dominus). R.I.P. and learn, don't facetank it next time?
I died to the last 5 boss in the Harvest around 10 times on my first walkthrough in normal. Then I rerolled to a flame totem build, because I dropped some good caster stuffs, and I died only once to afk. Now in Merciless Spectre of God, at lvl 67.
These last fights from act 4 are very mechanic based. Once you know them, you do much less errors. It's still dangerous though, I had an easy time because flame totem is so good.

So i paid a duelist lvl 85 to do malachai for me, he said runing stndard high hp block melee build, told me to have about 6.3k hp. And I saw his life bar go from full to 1/4 several times during the fight.

lvl 67, 4.2k hp, max resists (with even 75 chaos res and 76 fire res), 8k armor without flask, around 15 k with flask, 30% block chance and a couple of % spell block chance.

1 Hit KO-ed by Malachai on Cruel, he started charging his aoe hit, I ran away but was at the edge of the red AOE attack. I guess it deals full damage at the whole area, or it is simply so imbalanced that I can't think of an explanation here.

Not all players are latency free. Such bosses should not exist in high spike latency games as POE.

Major balance issues GGG, I could do maps with this character on merciless wthout issues, I'm 100% sure! Still can't go there due to your server performance and your utter failure to realise what difficulty scaling means?
