Is a 2h claw lifesteal build viable?

Hi all,

I'm new to POE so be gentle. I have a couple of quick questions.

Firstly i'd like to play a 2h claw lifesteal build. Firstly is this viable? secondly, should i switch from duelist to a different class to do this?

Further, im assuming claws are classed as one hand melee weapons. In some games fists are classed as sort of unarmed, I want to check they are classed as melee weapons here as its important in the talent tree.

Finally, if anyone has any links to any 2 hand claw lifesteal builds i'd love to see them, whether they are duelist/shadow/marauder or whatever.

i really want to be up close and personal hacking away. I've watched a few streams and theyre all ranged and its well, a bit meh.

I wanted to do a duel claw build too but theres no good aoe skills for them

I think 1 handers are more efficient for life leech builds. Claws have low base speed (there may be a rare claw with amazing speed), and as mentioned the aoe skils for them are meh. You can get the same life steel with good gear (the extra 6% from claws won't help much). I have about 30% life leech with my dual wield build.

Possible but you will have low damage, your aoe would be lightning strike and your high damage would be dual strike. Also claws need a high intelligence, so you need to pick up some intelligence in your passive tree.

I was thinking of building this as a claw shield:

so you'd have to take out the shield nodes and look for some dual wield nodes.

I got to lvl 40.. worked well i guess I dont really like melee that much in defense but yeah.

I used LS-life on hit-faster projectiles-added lightning dmg-fork
Also dual strike for single.
