Auras and Weapon Swap

So, this has been one of those Quality of Life things that has always bothered me. If I have two copies of the same aura, leveled to the same level, and have them on my main shield and on my weapon swap shield, why does my aura fall off? Couldn't it stay on? Is there a way for the game engine to check and see if the player still has the auras available after swap?

This would encourage more use of weapon swap, which might open up a couple more build ideas.

You can't move stuff around to put the aura in gloves\helm boots? and move one of those setups into your shield?

I only need a 3 link for auras (Enlighten + 2 Auras). Other slots generally make use of that 4 link.

I could probably find a way to jury rig it with my setup, but that doesn't invalidate the general question and request. Not every setup is going to be able to do that.

You don't gain any bonuses from gems equipped in other sockets otherwise, just because you have the same "exact" setup in both doesn't mean you aren't temporarily (while weapon swapping) removing that buff.

That is like asking for vaal gems or something to gain souls in the offhand, I can understand this specific issue, but I am sure you could make adjustments otherwise to make the build work, I mean why are you using weapon swap to begin with is 1 question.

This is very different from that issue. If I was asking for Vaal gems to gain souls in the weapon swap that would make little sense because I'm asking for gems I'm not using to actively charge themselves.

What I am asking for is that weapons and shields that have the same gems in them as the weapons and shields in your main swap to remain active. I'm asking to maintain the same aura that I already have active.

As for the reason for a weapon swap, that's build-specific and not particularly relevant to the request (as the request would open up build options), but I'll answer it anyway. I run a build that uses Saffell's Frame in the off-slot for boss swapping if there is a nasty spell damage boss that I'm fighting (Crematorium, for example). When I'm not dealing with spell casters, I use a big armor/block shield.

If I may ask, why are you against this request? From my point of view, it would open up builds to allow auras to remain active if the gem was in both swapped weapon/shield sets, and that would increase build diversity, which is a good thing.
