An illustration project

Hey.
I'm an artist and am doing a project where I create an illustration a day until next Christmas, titled "Project 365." Each day I post up a new one, and I've done 48 so far. I've been sharing them with a Diablo 3 community for a while, but since I find myself on these forums more than others now, I thought it appropriate to share with all of you, too. I usually take an hour or two to do each one. I try to make illustrations that are either slightly funny, slightly entertaining to look at, or slightly thought provoking (or a combination). I'm not trying to do anything profound with this project. The whole reason why I started doing this was I wanted to face my drawing anxieties with a big project I couldn't back out of (sharing these reinforces the need to fulfill the goal). I got an electronic drawing tablet for Christmas and decided to gain as much experience with Adobe Illustrator on my own as I could. I think I've come a long ways so far, but I think I have a lot more to learn. It's pretty damn fun so far, though. |
