Now that we have lockstep coming.. Assuming it works can we get rid of these DC Macro/Alt F4 spammers.
Portals feel cheesy enough but nowhere near the amount of cheese of alt f4.. Really takes the feeling outta hardcore. It was fair enough with desync but now that it's possibly gone...? |

It's not gone for everyone, it's quite likely most of the devs will still be playing with predictive so ALT+F4 will remain for a while longer

The game is based around having to alt F4 out of sticky situations. Stop the hatred. Nobody makes you what to do.

I'll just say this, lockstep dose not and will not work for everyone and they'll be using the current method of sync...even lock step with a latency spike will cause you problems enough that you'll want to alt-f4...so no, they won't be removing it or banning those that use it.

Also consider that if they added a timer to exiting the game via alt-f4 then that also means they would need too delay every other way of exiting, including things like game crashing, isp drops, power outage and also 'save exit game'. Otherwise people will just use those ways to exit, and if they really did make it this way MANY more HC characters will die for reasons outside their control, and that would suck 10x worse for many of us.
